Our team will get back to you with the top matches, but YOU have the power to make the final decision on who is matched with who.

  • Who is this for?

    Opal’s auto-matching tool is for any mentorship program host who wants to accurately and efficiently match their mentees and mentors.

  • Why not match people myself?

    We’re here to save you time and provide the most accurate result possible. We give you our recommended list of matches, as well as each mentee’s top mentor matches. So, you still have the final say!

  • What information is the matching based on?

    Our team works tirelessly to answer why do mentorships succeed? Mentorship program hosts can choose from our extensive list of questions OR provide their own custom questions for participants to choose.

  • How much does it cost?

    Our four different pricing plans are detailed on this page. For groups of more than 500, please reach out to our team for your custom quote. We offer a free option for students!

  • How long will the auto-match take?

    Once we receive participants’ information, we can perform the auto-match and send you your results within two business days.

  • How do I get started?

    Fill out the non-committal interest form. Once you submit the form, a member of our team will reach out to you to discuss your goals and timeline.

  • What do I have to provide?

    For now, we just need you to answer the few questions in the interest form. We need to learn where you’re at with your program hosting journey before understanding what more you need to provide.

  • What will I receive once the auto-match is done?

    Once the auto-match is complete, our team will provide two ways to view all of the information we’ve collected from your participants and how we reached each match score. Of course, you’ll have access to our recommended list of matches and each mentee’s top matches.

  • Does auto-matching guarantee a successful mentorship?

    While our algorithm is designed to match people based on multiple relevant criteria, even the best mentees and mentors remain imperfectly human and will need to play their part in making their mentorship successful.

  • Can I add additional participants in between the initial conversation and the auto-match?

    Yes! Additional participants may be added prior to Match Day. Once Match Day arrives, we can no longer accept new participants into the pool.

  • Can I request a specific number of match results?

    We always provide our recommended match list for the group overall and each mentee’s top five matches.

  • Is there a minimum/maximum timeline between the initial conversation and the auto-match?

    From the time we first chat to Match Day, your participants will need to fill out the participation form if it hasn’t been completed already, so we’d recommend starting the process no sooner than 2 weeks before your desired Match Day.

  • What happens if my participants don't fill out the form before the auto-match date?

    We can only match based on the information we have. We’ll match all of the users who have filled out the participation form on Match Day.
